Where's home? Brisbane, Australia

What was/is your last/current trip? My last trip took me to Central and South America, Iceland and the United States. I discovered the beautiful colonial city of Antigua, Guatemala; uncovered Mayan ruins in Copan, Honduras; hiked an active volcano in Nicaragua; ziplined and bungee jumped in Costa Rica; hiked a glacier in Iceland; soaked in a mud volcano in Colombia; and swam with turtles in Hawaii.

Where's home? I have a home base in Vancouver — and I am learning to 'stay' (build a home and roots) but alas I am leaving again this weekend!

What was/is your last/current trip? I am leaving this Sunday. Flying to Finland to watch my boyfriend compete in a SnowKiting world cup. We will be snowshoeing, winter camping and kite skiing (I've never done this before and very excited to try!). Then driving south doing a large loop of northern Europe on a 'Acro Tour' going to 11 countries and teaching AcroYoga in 5 of them. Driving across; Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark an Sweden. Also in the middle of that road trip we will fly to Namibia (southern Africa) and do a 20 day trek across the desert, mountains, kitesurfing on the ocean and teach our own Acro Yoga retreat in Windhoek.

This trip is different for me because it is very well planned (with spreadsheets! haha). Where as in the past I've often just stuck my thumb out and went with the wind.

Where's home? Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada

What was/is your last/current trip? In the spring of 2014, I quit a professional job working at a museum to fulfill a decade long dream to thru hike 2200 miles on the Appalachian Trail. After spending six months living a very simple life in the woods, I found it impossible to return to the traditional working world. Instead, I spent the winter participating in a self-guided artist residency on a farm in rural Nova Scotia. Afterwards, I moved to British Columbia to work on a horse ranch in the Southern Cariboo, which is where I am living now. So in a sense, I am still ‘travelling’, although I see it more as a ‘pilgrimage’ or ‘lifestyle’.

Where's home? As of right now, it's Portland, Oregon. The concept of "home" has always been somewhat ethereal to me, so I don't know if I will ever be able to attach it to any particular place.

What was/is your last/current trip? I drove across the USA last summer, concentrating mostly in the southwest. Inspired by the novel Blue Highways, by William Least Heat-Moon, I made it a point to stay off interstates as much as possible, traveling instead on more scenic two lane roads. I ended up taking a break in San Diego for a couple weeks before heading up Highway 1, finishing in Seattle. This was actually my first time driving across my own country, so I got a real flavor of the vast landscapes and beauty that surround the open road
